Advising & Mentoring Students

Advising and mentoring students is a large part of teaching, both inside and outside the classroom. Not all the work of advising and mentoring students is on you. St. Kate’s provides many resources to support you when advising and mentoring. The resources included below are a mixture of links you will use yourself and resources you can direct students to explore.

Advising Students

The resources included on this page represent advising resources connected to the Office of the Registrar. These are geared toward faculty whose teaching responsibilities include advising students, though even if you are not a faculty advisor, these resources can be beneficial.

Mentoring Students

On this page, you'll find information about the fantastic formal mentoring programs for St. Kate's students. You'll also find resources for faculty and staff on mentoring best practices in higher education and support for your professional development goals related to mentoring.

Developing Future Leaders

Our mission at St. Kate’s is to educate women to lead and influence. Part of this work happens within the classroom, but there are many opportunities for students to build their leadership skills by taking advantage of programs and resources at St. Kate’s.
