Advising Students

The resources included on this page represent advising resources connected to the Office of the Registrar. These are geared toward faculty whose teaching responsibilities include advising students. These resources can be beneficial even if you are not a faculty advisor.

  • Faculty/Advisory Security Information - This link provides information about processes the faculty/advisor has access to and the rules related to the role. For example, if you are not an active faculty member but are an advisor, you would be able to see your advisees’ grades.

  • Course Schedules - This is an electronic version of the course catalog, where you can search for courses within the current or past terms; meeting days/times, faculty teaching the course, credits, and other course information are all available here.

  • Degree Eval/Degree Works - Find information on students’ credits and program requirements, calculate their GPA, and make advising notes using Degree Works.

  • Student Advising Profile - This link provides faculty with a condensed overview of their advisees' statuses, such as program, major, school, and academic standing.

  • Registration History - Registration history will allow you to see a student’s or advisee’s courses and grades.

  • Transfer Evaluation System (TES) - Direct transfer students here to review their eligibility for credit hours at St. Kate’s for prior or alternative learning experiences, including other higher education coursework, military service, and on-the-job training.
