The Personal Support Center (PSC)
The St. Catherine University Personal Support Center (PSC) is your primary resource for all technical assistance and general IT inquiries. When contacting the PSC, you will be asked to provide your name, student ID number/faculty ID number, and month and day of birth only. This information is required to verify your identity and ensure we are assisting the correct user for security purposes.

In-Person and Remote Support
- In-Person Support: Visit the Tech Hub, located on the first floor of the Library (Lib 119).
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Appointments: Remote video appointments can be scheduled with the Personal Support Center.

Requesting and Managing University Technology
Obtaining and Requesting Technology
- IT Requests: Contact the PSC via email or submit an IT Request through the ServiceNow portal for new hardware, specialized software, or IT services not currently deployed. This is the standard procedure for most technology procurement.
- Self-Service Software: University-approved software can be downloaded immediately to your St. Kate device using the KACE self-service (for Windows) or Jamf self-service (for Mac).
- Software Request Policy: To ensure all software is fully tested and secure, all requests for new, non-listed software must be submitted at least 30 days prior to its use.
Catalogs and Reporting
- Catalogs: Browse available hardware and software (including Apporto) by searching the ServiceNow Catalog.
Academic Technology and Course Support
Support related to teaching and learning technologies, including Canvas, learning applications, and course design.
Canvas Technical Support
For immediate technical assistance with the Canvas platform (e.g., error messages, broken links, functionality issues), Canvas provides 24/7 technical support to the St. Kate's community.
- Log into Canvas and click the Help icon in the global navigation menu inside Canvas.

Instructional Design
St. Kate's Instructional Designers are available to assist faculty with course and program design, effective use of Canvas, and integrating various learning technologies.
- To seek assistance with academic technology tools or instructional design, please schedule an appointment with an Instructional Designer.
- A list of recommended Academic Technology Tools can be found on the Faculty Resource Hub. Please note that not all applications listed are supported by St. Kate's staff.
Printing
The university uses A-FindMe-Printers. They allow you to send a Job to the A-FindMe-Printer queue and pick it up from any A-FindMe-Printer on campus. Please review the Knowledge Base article 'Get Started with A-FindMe-Printers' to start printing.
