The Human Resources Department at St. Kate's is committed to supporting the University's mission by managing the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to compensation, benefits, and performance management. - New Employee Onboarding: Managing your required paperwork, establishing your employee records, and guiding you through the initial steps of joining the University community.
- Compensation and Benefits Administration: Overseeing faculty salary structures, administering health, retirement, and other benefit programs, and answering related questions.
- Performance Management: Providing tools and guidelines for performance evaluations and professional development.
- Employee Records and Compliance: Maintaining official faculty employee files and ensuring compliance with federal, state (especially for remote work), and institutional policies, including payroll and workers' compensation.

Technology and IT Support
The McGlynn Computer and Information Technology Center provides essential technology resources, access, and support for all members of the St. Kate's community, including faculty and staff. Their goal is to ensure you have secure and reliable access to the systems and tools necessary for teaching, research, and administrative tasks. Every faculty member is provided with an account for secure access to campus computing resources.
The IT team offers comprehensive support and services relevant to your role:
- Help Desk Support: Providing assistance for both academic and administrative computing issues, including hardware troubleshooting.
- Core System Access: Maintaining and supporting critical institutional platforms, including your St. Kate's email account (Google Apps for Education), My St. Kate’s portal, and Canvas (Learning Management System).
- Software Assistance: Providing training and support for key software applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite and other Google Apps for Education services.
- Canvas Support: Immediate technical assistance for the learning management system is available 24/7 directly through the Canvas platform.
- Network Access: Ensuring reliable, high-speed internet access across campus, both wirelessly and via data ports.

Academic Resources and Support
The Faculty Resource Hub is a dynamic website created by faculty, for faculty. Its purpose is to serve as a one-stop shop for a wide variety of resources designed to support your needs both inside and outside the classroom. The Hub compiles essential information, links to support services, and guidance on key academic processes at St. Kate's.
The Faculty Resource Hub organizes resources into several main categories to help you quickly find the information you need:
- Teaching & Learning: Resources covering the Registrar, Online Course Quality Assurance Program, Course Design and Development, Assessment and Evaluation, Workshops, Training & Webinars, Global Studies, and Clinical Teaching.

Campus Safety (Department of Public Safety)
The Department of Public Safety works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to maintain a safe and secure environment for all St. Kate's students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Public Safety officers provide a range of essential services and serve as the primary point of contact for campus emergencies and security concerns. The department encourages all members of the community to be proactive partners in campus safety.
The Campus Safety team offers direct support services to the faculty and the University community:
- 24/7 Patrol and Response: Officers conduct routine patrols of campus grounds and facilities and provide immediate response to all emergency and non-emergency situations on campus.
- Emergency Response: Coordinating response for medical emergencies, fire alarms, and critical incidents.
- Security Escorts: Providing safe escorts for faculty and staff across campus, especially during evening and nighttime hours.
- Incident Reporting: Taking reports for theft, vandalism, suspicious activity, and other non-emergency incidents.
- Clery Act Compliance: Providing essential information on campus security policies, crime statistics, and prevention efforts.
- LiveSafe App Integration: Strongly encouraging faculty and staff to download the LiveSafe app for direct communication with Campus Safety and 911, which includes a location-tracking feature during an active call.
- Parking: Provides parking permits to students, faculty, and staff as required. Campus safety officers patrol the campus to enforce parking regulations.
