Office of the Registrar and General Information
Many of the administrative tasks faculty perform fall under the Office of the Registrar. This section is divided into general information on the Office of the Registrar, Registrar resources faculty will use during the term, and Registrar information they may wish to provide to students.
General Information
- Office of the Registrar - Find registration information, catalogs, policies, and more. You can also direct students to the Office of the Registrar for registration forms, catalogs, transfer of credit information, transcript requests, information on taking courses through ACTC (the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities), and more.
- Academic Calendars - Find all the dates you need to know for every term and every academic program at St. Kate’s. The calendars reflect schedules for College for Women, College for Adults, and Graduate College students.
- Final Exams Schedule - Final exam schedule for all full-term courses.
- Faculty Assignments - Allows faculty to view the details of the courses to which they are/have been assigned, both current and past.
- Course schedules - This is an electronic version of the course catalog, where you can search for courses within the current or past terms; meeting days/times, faculty teaching the courses, credits, and other course information are all available here. This is a great place to monitor enrollments in classes as the semester approaches and to get info on other courses in your department or beyond (i.e., who teaches what, what is offered, where and when they meet), which can be helpful both personally and in working with advisees.
- Class Lists – This resource provides a list of students enrolled in each class. See the Instructions for Viewing the Class List KB article for more information.
- Textbook adoption & insights - This BSN resource provides the process for submitting the details for the adoption of textbooks and other materials for assigned courses.
During the Term
- Faculty Detailed Schedule - Find information about the courses you are teaching each term under your detailed schedule.
- Faculty Week at a Glance - This calendar that shows the individual faculty member's schedule based on the courses they teach. You can scroll throughout the semester to see when your course is scheduled. Note that the calendar doesn't seem to take into account holidays that may affect your weekly schedule.
- Attendance Tracking - Use this area to report student attendance, which should be completed first day/first week of attendance for all terms or parts of terms. It is recommended that instructors teaching courses with both a lab and lecture component report attendance under the lecture component only. For more information, see the Faculty Attendance Tracking KB article.
- Degree eval/Degree Works - Find information on students’ credits and program requirements, calculate their GPA, and make advising notes using Degree Works.
- Registration History - Registration history will allow you to see a student’s or advisee’s courses and grades.
- Grade Entry - Use this link to enter both midterm and final grades.
