Developing Future Leaders
Our mission at St. Kate’s is to educate women to lead and influence. Part of this work happens within the classroom, but there are many opportunities for students to build their leadership skills by taking advantage of programs and resources at St. Kate’s. A few of these are outlined below.
- Katie Leadership Impact - Katie Leadership Impact is an undergraduate program that fosters leadership capabilities through coursework, applied learning, professional activities, and student support. This program is possible thanks to a generous grant from The Manitou Fund.
- The Office of Scholarly Engagement - Students can leverage OSE’s local and global programs to complement their studies, realize their agency as changemakers, and build connections across and beyond the university. Programs within the OSE include the Antonian Honors Program, Community Work and Learning, and Global Studies. OSE also offers competitive fellowships where students engage with faculty and staff in intensive, one-on-one mentoring.
- College for Women Student Senate - The Senate is the student governing body for the College for Women (CFW) at St. Kate’s. Their goal is to provide a voice for CFW students, to provide opportunities for dialogue between students and the administration, and to enhance the student experience. Contact: senate@stkate.edu.
- College for Adults Student Advisory Board (CFA SAB) - CFA SAB is a team of undergraduate students that act as a liaison between the College for Adults students and the university. The board strives to enhance the CFA student experience and builds its work around three core components: communicate, advocate, and celebrate. Contact: cfastudentboard@stkate.edu.
- Graduate Student Advisory Board - The GSAB consists of two voting student representatives from each of the Graduate Programs offered at St. Kate’s and as many non-voting members who participate in GSAB initiatives. The GSAB meets monthly during the academic year to represent graduate student voices, plan activities, address common questions, and network. Contact: gsab@stkate.edu.
