Student Support Programs and Resources

I'm Concerned about a StudenT

St. Catherine University is dedicated to supporting students in achieving academic and personal success during their time on campus. You can find a plethora of resources that we provide to students on the University Student Support page, some of which are highlighted below.

Student Resource Hubs

Every student at St. Kate's has access to a shell in Canvas called a Resource Hub. A Resource Hub contains information and helpful links on a variety of topics:

  • Getting a strong start on their academic journey

  • Academic support resources available (such as the Library, tutoring, accommodations, and more)

  • Student organizations that they can join

  • Tech tutorials and support options to support tech needs

  • How to use Canvas, St. Kate's online course platform, including how to download the Canvas app to a phone

Please view the comprehensive list of all student resource hubs available to students.

Student Success and Academic Advising

Student Success is a resource used by students, faculty, and staff to enhance communication, provide comprehensive support, and serve as a centralized location for feedback, scheduling, and student assistance.

  • Student Success Tool - This link provides a comprehensive list of services available to students through Student Success.

  • Student Success – Faculty/Staff Resource Page - This page lists all step-by-step guides and educational videos related to actions faculty members might take in Student Success.

  • The Office of Academic Success - Student Success provides a more seamless connection with the St. Kate’s Academic Advising team.

  • Testing Center - Students with testing accommodations can work with the Testing Center to arrange alternative testing arrangements and access testing services.

  • Tutoring & Learning Center - Students can connect with tutoring support through Student Success, including scheduling appointments with tutors.

Student Accessibility and Accommodations

Student Accessibility & Accommodations - supports students with disabilities, as defined under the ADA, with reasonable accommodations for academics, housing, meal plans, and clinical/fieldwork. The process for receiving these accommodations is flexible. The student meets with St. Kate's professional staff and participates in an interactive process where they discuss the student's diagnosis and the barriers they are experiencing or have encountered. Together, the staff and the student will explore appropriate accommodations and identify resources that may be beneficial to the student.

Financial Assistance

  • Money Management - We want St. Kate's students to understand and develop personal financial management skills that contribute to purposeful life-long learning. To that end, the Money Management Program provides comprehensive information and resources designed to teach students the life skills of personal finance and money management.

  • Access & Success - Access and Success offers support and programs to meet the needs of students who are parenting, or any student facing a basic needs emergency that impacts their ability to access food, housing, medical care, childcare, transportation, or other essential needs.

  • Scholarship Universe (SU) - St. Kate’s new scholarship matching tool for accepted and enrolled students. SU is a one-stop shop for scholarship databases that have vetted and verified external scholarship opportunities.

Health Support

  • St. Kate's Health & Wellness Clinic - The Health and Wellness Clinic is an on-campus primary care clinic that serves all enrolled St. Kate’s students.

  • Counseling Center - St. Kate’s Counseling Center provides quality counseling services at no cost to students coping with emotional, social, behavioral, and identity-related difficulties common to the college population.

  • CampusWell - CampusWell partners with colleges and universities to offer a comprehensive digital wellness platform designed to address the unique needs of every young adult. This is an outside resource not affiliated with St. Kate’s.
